Newcastle United
Newcastle United Football Club is a famous English football club. It was founded on December 9, 1892 from the two teams East End FC and West End FC. Big international success came in 1969 when they won the Fair Cities Cup against German team Bayern Munich! However, there have also been a few defeats, such as three runners-up spots in the UEFA Champions League, including a 5-4 loss from a 4-2 lead just 30 seconds before the end of extra time.
For over a century, Newcastle United have played in black and white kits, called 'toon' in the city's dialect. The name may have been derived from Town, which over time became Toon. Today they are known throughout England as the most fanatical football club!
