FC Valencia is a Spanish football club from Valencia. The team plays in the top Spanish league, the Primera División, and has also been quite successful internationally: they have reached two finals but failed both times without a win (0-3 against Real Madrid and 1-1 against Bayern Munich). However, in the other two major European cup competitions, they were not as lucky and less successful. The club won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1980 and 2004, making it one of Spain's most successful clubs. The Valencians' club colors are black and white, and their mascot is a bat, representing hope for future success. Since 1923, they have played their home games at the Mestalla Stadium, which once completed will be replaced by the Nou Mlesstra Stadium near Valencia city center in the next few years.
