The 11th and last season of The Walking Dead (The Beginning of the End) started streaming on Disney+ on August 23rd. New episodes are released weekly.

The first eight episodes will air in 2021 and the remaining episodes will be available throughout the year 2022 (the actual date is not yet known). All past seasons of Disney+ are always available at Disney+

The original series ended but producers are planning various spin-off series and even movies with favorite characters from the Walking Dead universe.

The 10th season consisted of 22 episodes, which is uncommon for the series. It had, however, a lot to tell. The Corona pandemic caused production to stop, which led to the delayed development of the storyline.

In remembrance: The Whisperers were a group of hostile survivors of the zombie pandemic. They believed that humans should return to their animal roots. This led them to behave basically like a pack of wolves led by one woman named Alpha ( Samantha Morton ).

This way, they were able to blend in inconspicuously among the dangerous zombies. These living creatures communicated only softly with one another - hence the name Whisperer.

The mysterious group formed when Alpha met her daughter Lydia (Cassidy McClincy) on a man named Beta (Ryan Hurst) in a deserted hospital. Beta was Alpha's right hand and naturally number 2 in the command chain. From this point on, they were able to recruit many more members for their pack while they moved through the country.

The situation escalated quickly, until Negan infiltrated the whisperers and killed Alpha. A final confrontation between the whisperers and the residents of Hilltop, Alexandria, Oceanside and the Kingdom took place in Episode 16.

The six bonus episodes, which followed, emerged into the psychology and past of the different characters.

Maggie had to face increasingly challenging challenges and developed as a result. In fact, she had to not only survive but also fight for her son’s survival.

Further investigations focus on an episode involving former antagonist Negan, his past, and his now deceased wife. We are also told how he acquired his iconic stacheldraht baseball bat.

The good friends Carol and Daryl play a key role in these individual stories too. In addition, an unknown group of people takes captive Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Prince and splits them up. In particular, Princess must deal with her traumatic past during this time.
