Just as movie theaters are starting to show Marvel's newest superhero movie, Disney+ Day is already scheduled for November 12th with Disney+. Here you will find all the important information about the comic film adaptation and how you can watch it.
Premiere gezeigt Shang-Chi was shown on Disney+ Premiere on 12 November.
The peculiarity: The film will be available to all subscribers without having to pay for a Disney+ VIP subscription. Only the normal Disney+ costs of $7.49 per month are payable.
Our Priesttip: Until November 14th, the Disney+ premium trial is still available, for only $1.99 per month in the first month?
This surprising change of strategy involves abandoning the previous course of action pursued by Marvel and Disney, which involved releasing many films such as "Jungle Cruise", "Cruella" or the most recent Marvel entry, "Black Widow" at the same time in movie theaters and in a premium VIP area of Disney+ simultaneously. It is an interesting experiment to find new ways to start blockbuster movies.
The particular feature of Shang-Chi is its unusual publication strategy. It is a Marvel superhero film directed by an Asian filmmaker, with an overwhelmingly Asian cast.
? The purpose of the new Marvel blockbuster?
After the death of Family Matriarch Ying Li (Fala Chen), an experienced fighter and defender of a deep-hidden village, Wenwu swears revenge. He also takes his son Shang-Chi on his expedition with him, while neglecting his daughter Xialing.
As is often the case in Marvel-universe, fate has bigger plans for him: driven by grief, his father withdrew himself. He destroys a sacred ancestral hall, setting unstoppable dark powers free. From then on, Shang-Chi, Xiling and Katy embark on a journey to different worlds to save their families and the world using their lost aunt (Michelle Yeoh) and a troop of magical animals.

The director, who is of Hawaiian descent, made a name for himself with smaller dramas such as "Short Term 12 - Stille Helden" and "Just Mercy" before directing his first blockbuster, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," for HBO Max. He is currently directing season one of Michael Mann's HBO Max series, "Tokyo Vice," which will be produced by master director.
In the title role shines Canadian actor and stuntman Simu Liu, who has accumulated a wealth of action experience in series such as "Taken: The Time is Your Enemy" and in the comedy "Kim's Convenience" made audiences laugh. Newcomer Mengler Zhang plays his sister Xialing and contests her first film role.
For the quiet drama "The Farewell" she was praised by critics and received among other awards a Golden Globe as best actor. Currently her voice can be heard in the original version of the animation film "Raya and the Last Dragon" on Disney+ where she voices the dragon Sisu.
Tony Leung is a well-known Chinese star popular in films such as "Chungking Express", "In the Mood for Love - The Sound of Love", "Infernal Affairs - The Eighth Hell", and "The Grandmaster". His attempted foray into Hollywood with his Marvel role has thus far been successful.
Michelle Yeoh is world-renowned for her work in Hollywood. However, her beginnings date back to Hong Kong action films, where she quickly became a sidekick to Jackie Chan in the martial arts movie genre, with such films as "Poweman 2", "Police Story 3 - Supercop" and "Megacop".
In the year 1997, she was able to present her talented combat skills to a larger international audience in the movie "James Bond - The morning never dies". Afterwards, she achieved international successes such as "Tiger & Dragon" and "The Geisha". Together with Awkwafina, she has already played in the comedy "Crazy Rich" and is recently seen in the science fiction series "Star Trek: Discovery".

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) unification with its sister organization is taking place in a underground fighting ring that is also similar to the trash video game movie "Mortal Kombat" from the 1990s. Later, father and son enter a brightly lit gangster meeting spot that could be directly from an early John-Woo-film.

Marvel incorporates some playful fantastical elements, such as kindhearted dragons and courageous lions, to its more traditional form of presenting humor and realism. The first half showcases a more grounded and humorous presentation, while the second focuses more on mythical fantasy with a focus on Chinese folklore. This broad readership is attracted to it overall.
With the spectacular and impressive action accompanying it, Tony Leung's performance as the Chinese filmmaker's star is a standout feature of the film. He gives the villain Wenwu a human and almost sympathetic face, making for an absorbing family drama that doesn't come across as short by any means. The other main characters possess a three-dimensionalness that is not always present in Marvel films.
Among the younger performers that all serve the bank well, Awkwafina stands out for her quirky and natural talent. Together with main performer Simu Liu, she builds a wonderful chemistry. Marvel finally releases its martial arts and Kung-Fu movie blockbuster. And the wait was worth it!
