To use a film or series over the video on demand function, one will need 3mbps and for HD content it is recommended to have 7mbps. To be able to view all content with optimum quality (HD), they advise having an internet speed of at least 10mbps.

With Joyn PLUS+, users can also access the contents outside of the EU. Within the EU, all pay TV broadcasters are available, as well as HD broadcasters and premium films and series. However, due to licensing reasons, public broadcasters are not included.

The contents of the Joyn baseline offer are available within Germany, but access to the offer outside of Germany is not possible due to licensing restrictions.
