Clermont Foot

Clermont Foot Auvergne 63 is a French football club based in Clermont-Ferrand, the capital of the French department of Puy-de-Dôme in central Auvergne. It was formed through a merger between the AS CLERMONT and another local club under the new name CFCL, which however had to declare bankruptcy. In 1990 the club was re-established under the name FC LEPRECHAUNS OFCLERMONTFOOT63. The team changed its name again this year after some officials criticized that the name was "ambiguous" or unclear (the reason being that there are actually several different teams using the name "footballl") The club's colors are red and blue. President Claude Michy made a difference in May 2014 when he hired Helena Costa to coach our men's team - making her the first woman ever and Portuguese too!
